Gul Panag SLAMS A Troll Who Called Her Privileged For Supporting Lockdown; ‘My Husband’s Flying A Plane, Is Exposed To Crowd’
Gul Panag hit back at a troll who called the 21-day lockdown an adventure for ‘privileged’ like her. She slammed the troll saying her husband Rishi Attari is flying a plane, bringing people back home
As COVID-19 continues to spread across the world, several countries have called for lockdowns, and some strict measures are being taken. Just a few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and announced a nationwide lockdown for 21 days, and many supported the decision, given how necessary it was in the current situation. Celebrities such as Arjun Kapoor, Sonal Chauhan, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal and many others backed the Prime Minister’s decision. Gul Panag also welcomed the decision but got trolled by a user who called her privileged.
Gul Panag took to her Twitter to share her view on the lockdown for three weeks, to minimize the spread of coronavirus. She tweeted, “No other way! Had to be done #lockdownindia.” A user reacted to this tweet of Gul Panag, and called the lockdown an adventure for her, calling her privileged. The troll wrote, “Adventure for privileged like you.” Gul Panag did not take this sitting down, and hit back. She wrote, “Really? You’re on Twitter. My husband’s flying a plane bringing people back home as I type. Everyday for last few days, in fact. Exposed to crowded places with no WFH option. Because ‘essential’ service. Till tonight.”
